Troy Waller is a friend of Beth's and yesterday she learned that Troy had blown out his knee at the gym. She then learned about several other war stories including this story about the pliers.

Troy carries pliers in a holster for his job and one day when they were hauling scrap there was a piece hanging out of the back of the truck too far. While he was trying to tug the piece out to reposition it the scrap let loose and he went flying... and landed right on his pliers, they went through his hip bone!
